Over on the OneFour KidLit YouTube channel this month, we are highlighting places our characters would go on vacation. Since THE PROMISE OF AMAZING takes place in New Jersey, I didn't have to think too hard about where the teens in my book might venture on a sweltering summer day. I had such a blast creating this video that I thought I'd share it here as well!

How fun Robin! Great video, that gets me that much more interested in Wren and Grayson. And your questions gets me thinking about my characters -- what a great added dimension to think about, where they might go.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely made me think about my characters in a different way! Kind of 'out of the box' and away from the story and while I usually have these types of scenarios play out in my mind sometimes - to put it together in a video was kind of cool!! Glad you liked it!
DeleteYou've done such a great job on this! Introduces the Jersey Shore to people who don't have a clue and on top of that gives a little more insight into your characters and your plot! We wonder about the "bad" experience Wren had at the shore before.

Coffee and caramel sounds like an insanely awesome flavor!!! I know in Cape May they had pumpkin and cinnamon in the fall...sounds a bit much but it was D-lish (if you like pumpkin pie).
